Florida African American Male Experience
The Florida African American Male Experience (FAAME) is an innovative partnership between St. Petersburg College (SPC) and LEAP to enhance educational and career opportunities for Black/African American males. Leveraging the resources and expertise of both institutions, FAAME offers comprehensive support to its participants, ranging from pre-college exposure and engagement to robust post-enrollment services at SPC. The initiative focuses on increasing enrollment, improving academic performance, boosting graduation rates, and ultimately diversifying the workforce. Through FAAME, SPC and LEAP proactively address disparities and foster success for Black/African American males in the Tampa Bay area.
