The University of South Florida has been recognized as the number one producer of Fulbright Scholars in the United States for 2018-2019 by the Chronicle of Higher Education.
With 12 Fulbright scholars, USF was the only institution in the U.S. to have 10 or more scholars this academic year. This is the second time USF has been recognized for producing the most Fulbright scholars, having finished No. 1 in 2016-17.
The Fulbright Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, is an international educational exchange program with the goal of cultivating mutual understanding between the United States and other countries. Each year, more than 800 college and university faculty and administrators, professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers and independent scholars are awarded the opportunity to teach and conduct research abroad.
